Attitude is the deciding factor

I have officially decided that if I can keep my attitude about everything on the positive side of things then I will be able to be more happy with the activities and the situations that I am in. When I let my attitude decline then the activity suddenly becomes boring and negative. For example, today at SanSegal, I was bored. I was looking up these items for my Aunt but wasn't sure what I was looking for. Instead of being frustrated with the fact that I didn't know what I was doing. I should have looked at it as a learning tool. I could have selected many different options and then gave her the deciding factor. But I let my attitude make today a boring day. I am going to try to find the positives in all things. This will make me a happier person! I just know it!

Signing off... and good night!

Internship Blues

I have begun the internship that I have been looking forward to for some time. It all began just a week ago. I moved to Utah to live with my Aunt and Uncle on Wednesday, May 20th. First I had to drop my brother of at the MTC so that he could serve a mission for 2 years. That was hard enough. Then I had to say goodbye to my mom and sister and dad. I wasn't really feeling ready to do that yet. I had just said goodbye to my little brother. I was not ready to say goodbye to family too. I know that staying with my Aunt and Uncle isn't really all that bad but I really like living with my family. My mom and I are really close and so not being able to see her every day and not being able to hang out with her has been really hard. I really miss my family.

Anyway, so I started my internship on Friday of last
week. It was a real change of pace for me. My Aunt owns a business called Five Star Promotions.

She also just started working for one of her factories called SanSegal.

Now at first she was really excited about the new job but once she realized that she would have to take time to teach me everything and then SanSegal started requiring more and more time from her, she realized that maybe this wasn't the best timing. I am trying hard to be of help but I don't know how so I have just been trying to make the best out of things. So far, the only thing I have really done to contribute to my knowledge is design 10 different logos for a company called AES Electric. I really like the logos but the customer seems to have some issues with them. We will be meeting with him on Monday to discuss the issues. I really don't think that he knows what a good logo is. I have spent to many hours on these logos. It is kind of frustrating when things like this happen. But what can you do? There really isn't anything that I can do. I have decided that I will just trust in the Lord in all things. Including logo design. :D

As my internship continues, I will try to have a positive attitude about everything. Attitude is half the battle, right!?
Well, I guess that's all for now!

random thoughts :)

Wow! It has been a long time. So many things have happened since I last wrote on here. During the last weeks of January I was called as the Relief Society President of my singles branch. At first I was couldn't believe that I was being called to such a position but as I have prayed and thought about my relationship with my Savior and how it has grown I decided that He wanted to me to be in this position to share the things I have gone through and to help me continue to grow. I am excited as life continues to throw me curve balls and I know if I rely on my Savior I will be able to overcome those.
This picture by Greg Olsen is one my favorites. It really shows that Christ is wanting to help us, we just have to let him into our lives. I am working on this. Sometimes, I think I know what is best but I really don't. Over the last couple of weeks I have been relying more on the Lord to guide me and by doing this, I have not been on the verge of tears as much. I know that when I let Christ and Heavenly Father govern my life, then and only then, will I reach complete happiness. I know this could sound funny to some people but I have really experienced it and I know that it is true. I have really learned a lot about myself in these last few weeks and am very blessed to have such a wonderful group of people around me. It is nice to be able to trust some people and know that they won't betray me.

Greg Olsen is an amazing artist. I have two of his paintings hanging in my room and hope to someday have more! :)

I am graduating in April and I keep thinking that I should be nervous and scared and excited all at once but right now I am more numb then anything. It is a weird feeling knowing that how you lived your life for the last 4 years and then even in high school, things didn't change to much and now they will be changing a lot and I don't even feel anything. I don't know what I am supposed to feel. I think that is a large part of the problem. I know people want me to feel excited but I am sad.... When people say that it would be scary I don't feel anything. I don't know, maybe I am just weird and things will become more real when it gets closer. :)

Anyway, my computer is going to die and I better get off. Signing Off!
